Have Camera, Will Podcast
You may already be aware of my new photography podcast, Shutter Trails, which will be available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify and elsewhere, but I wanted to give a few more details here.
The first episode will premier on Wednesday morning, 7 January 2026. I’m excited to begin this journey and share some of the adventures this trail will take us on. I’ll start by opening the aperture a little and give you a sneak peak at the way ahead.
I interviewed Steve Brazill, an outstanding Live Music photographer & podcaster, for the Socratic Satsang philosophy podcast. He has generously agreed to be on an upcoming Shutter Trails episode.
The first episode of the podcast hasn’t even come out yet, and I’ve been fortunate to have several photographers interested in coming on. Some of the interview episodes already have dates set and I can’t wait until I get to have an in depth, photography based conversation with them. I have a long list of photographers I want to get to, but I’m always interested in learning of others, who I may not know of, who would be a good fit for Shutter Trails, so feel free to pass along any names and contact info if you think there’s someone I should be interviewing!
There will be more than just interviews, though. I will also be doing some solo episodes where I discuss various photography related topics and take you behind the scenes on some of my photo shoots, to give some demonstrations of things that will compliment the information, education and entertainment I’m providing. While the podcast is focused on outdoor, nature based photography, I don’t want to limit it too much, as I know there are many other genres that are complimentary to it and that many people would like to know more about.
I anticipate most of the main episodes will run over an hour and I don’t want anyone to be scared off by the length of them, that’s why for at least the first year, these episodes will be kept to once per month. The good news is that Shutter Trails will not be out of bounds for the rest of each month. I’ll be including some short (5 minutes +) episodes in between, that I am calling my Trail Markers. Something to let you know you’re still going the right direction to get more great photography content!
It would really help me out if you could subscribe, follow and like the podcast and it would be great if you signed up for the newsletter, where I will send periodic newsletters and updates on the podcast as well as my other photography adventures! See you on the trail!
